Our Thoughts on the Rocky Patel Burn Series Lighter

I like a lot of Rocky’s stuff and I want to get that out of the way before I get into my review of this lighter. I got one of these as a gift and have used it a few times. His Company is known for making high-quality cigar lighters, cutters, and accessories. Now that’s out of the way, the only thing I like about this lighter is the look. It looks classy and the outer design is stunning. It feels good in my hand and works fine.
 

What I don’t like about it:

 What I don’t like about this torch is that for a premium lighter there is no fuel window. The flame adjuster is like any other cheap $10 lighter. I do understand that on a cigar lighter of this type that a fuel adjuster wheel would ruin the design. On a classy lighter like the ST Dupont Minijet, there is an adjusting screw that fits with the design. I can’t understand why there is such a crappy flame adjuster on this thing.
 
I do understand that even a quality torch lighter doesn’t “need” a fuel window. With that said its functionality won’t destroy a beautiful design. Why not give it a small side-mounted one like on so many other really classy lighters? If you like the way this lighter looks enough to spend real money on it, be my guest. You’ll get a quality lighter, but I don’t think you’ll be happy with it. If you decide to pick one up let me know what you think of it.
