Our Thoughts On The Lotus Defiant
When it comes to Lotus lighters, I am kind of on the fence. Some models are better than others, but I do really like the lotus style. The Lotus Defiant isn’t too expensive at about $45, but I do believe that it could be a little bit better quality for the price. Maybe, I’m being picky here, but the trigger feels cheap. I do have to say, I do like the styling and of course, it does work great. The oversized flame adjuster is smooth and I like the large fuel level window. The quad flame on the Lotus Defiant is strong and really does stand up to the wind. The cap that covers the burners closes tight and is easy to open. The thing that I like most about the Defiant is the slide-out cigar punch. Even though I carry a cigar punch on my key ring I found myself using the one that’s on the lighter. It’s not the best cigar punch out there, but works well enough I didn’t even think about it.
I have to say again I am on the fence about this torch. The price is ok, but…I’m just not so sure about it. I would say if the styling is something you really like, go ahead and pick one up. If the overall look is just ok, but don’t really love it, I would pass on this lighter.
