The black matte Zippo lighter was the first of the matte design. This line of lighters came into Zippo’s collection in 1984. Soon after the start of matte lighters, more colors made it into the line. Our thoughts on this iconic Zippo
The plain black matte is one of the most popular Zippo lighters of the past 30 years. It is plain and not much to look at. With that said, we all know Zippo is known for its iconic style and quality. I’ve said it many times, I can’t stand the taste of Zippo fluid ruining my cigar but I love the look and click of a Zippo. The good news is that Zippo also makes single and double-jet flame inserts that fit perfectly. As with all Zippo lighters they are covered by a lifetime guarantee that is easy to use if you ever need it.
There isn’t much else I can say about this Zippo. At Amazon, you can pick one up for about $18, or at Zippo.com for around $23.
