The good news is that you can get butane at a bunch of different places. From Amazon to Walmart you can find it without a problem. Where To Buy Butane For Lighters – Cigar Shops
The place I would suggest first to buy butane for lighters would be any cigar shop that also sells lighters. Most guys at cigar shops are very smart about the best types of butane you should be putting in your lighters. Depending on what types of butane they have, it may be cheaper to buy it their verses online.
You can also check the cigar stores online if there isn’t a cigar shop near you. Almost all of them have a bunch of different high-quality brands to pick from.
Buying Butane In Hardware Stores
Many hardware stores like Home Depot, Lowes, and Ace Hardware have butane. The butane that they will most likely have is low-quality butane. This butane is for industrial work or for camping stoves.
You’ll see brands like Sterno, Benzomatic, and Ronson butane. From personal experience, these brands of butane are full of impurities. They will ruin a lighter in a hurry.
I do not recommend you ever shop for butane at hardware stores.
Buy Butane For Lighters At Big Box Stores
Places like Target, Walmart, Big Lots, and all the others tend to have the same kind of butane that hardware stores have at their physical stores. So I would also avoid shopping for butane for lighters at the big box stores.
I’ve got to say that at walmart.com they have many high-quality brands that they don’t have in the actual stores. Butane brands like Colibri, Lotus, and Zippo are available.
Where To Buy Butane For Lighters – Amazon and eBay
Other than buying butane at cigar shops amazon.com and ebay.com are great places to buy butane for lighters. Between both websites, you can find about every available brand! Even lesser know brands like Newport butane that is from England.
The great thing about both of these websites is that you can find a variety of prices for the same brands from different sellers. So finding the best price is easy.
